Hi Jen and Bailey,
These baby bunnies are very small, we do not know the age or sex, yet.
The owner of the farmer's market told us that a customer had a litter
of 11 and was giving them away, so his employee said he wanted 2 and
the customer apparently brought him these 2 bunnies this past weekend.
That's how everything started. The crate where they were kept was
labeled "2 does" but I am not sure... We are taking the buns to the
vet tomorrow to check their health, age and sex. I will let you know
tomorrow what we find out.
They are so cute and happy now! They are binkying all the time.
Everytime we open the door to the room, they come hopping to the
corner of the pen to be pet and fed. In 6 hours, they ate 2 bowls of
alfalfa and drank 2 half-bowls of water. They were so starved and
thirsty, poor things! I can't believe people would let such cute
animals die of starvation and thirst. It's beyond me. GRRR...
Craig, my husband, just scanned in a Polaroid photo of the little
cuties and will e-mail it to Dana Krempels, our local HRS rep. She
will place it on the World Wide Web page. (Would you like a copy
sent directly to you via e-mail? If so, what type of computer and
what format do you prefer?) This way many people can see them.
We want to find these babies a good, loving home fast and forever.
They deserve it!
Thank you for caring!
Cristina.
