Sarah, Patrick, Molly and Val,
Please do not get depressed. These things happen. Bonding is sometimes slow.
Don't let them interact unsupervised. I have a double gate system. The boys
are in a room where I put a gate, then I have a cardboard in the door, so I can
go in and out.
While I was away this past week, the bunnysitter found both Ashy and Charky
outside the gate, between the gate and the cardboard. If they had jumped the
cardboard they would have been in the girls territory. It seems they jumped
on the dresser where the bag of oat hay was [HAR-HAR-HAR], they threw the bag
of oat hay to the floor and then they jump from the dresser to the trash can
outside the gate and into the forbidden area.
Bunnies are very smart and they would try to find all the possible things
you do not want them to do and do them when you are away =:3
Your bunnies will bond with patience, time and neutral territory.
You might want to try the bath tub as neutral territory for short periods of
time at first and then increase the time.
